Largest Vs Smallest Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Largest Vs Smallest

Largest vs smallest

Now, somehow
-I work with the Arnold of Iran

He is one who has won the prize
-one of best in building the body

Like many immigrants
-simply, just because…

Is distanced from past
-everywhere
-in every direction and aspect

Has two arms, like others
-but huge, humongous
-like raccoons, the largest

He called me by first name
-like baby his seeking help
-rushed to see strange…
-tiny rat in grey
- (sure baby, hungry)
-put claws into weaves
-of carpet
-of steps
-and climb

The ex-champ pointed
-and almost in shiver

I grabbed by the tail
-threw it over wall

Could vision Palestine
-and the fight with slings

Neither he, nor myself
-were eager
-to kill a creature
- 'Let it live, find its way…'
