Kiss Poem by Andile Mthembu

Kiss

Give me the kiss, that total bliss
Baby kiss, French kiss and whatever kiss
The key to your lips down your spleens
Oh after kiss, i feel so rinsed and clean.

Kiss give and never takes
Always great even when it's fake
Unlike sex, kiss is never for sale
Give kiss now, before it's too late

Lips connected, eyes closed, that oneness
Of God and the Goddess
That uncivilized action of swapping spits
That misbehavior of connecting tongues and lips

It is the same kiss that betrayed Jesus
So the challenge is upon us
To protect, nurture and guide the kiss
Hail to the madman who invented kiss!

Very lucid and focused poem. Kissing could be for love or betrayal. Good job! Keep on writing. Do read my poems and comment
