King Of The World Poem by Alan Bruce Thompson

King Of The World

I'm the king of the world, just look at me!
After the election it's time to put through my policy.

My mouth speaks the word of God,
If you disagree I will beat you with my rod.

"I" am the one, so I hate countries whose names begin with "I",
Iraq is done, and now it's Iran that I'll poke in the eye.

Ireland and Iceland had better watch out,
Or change their name to Eire and Eis before I shout.

The world's a safer democratic place after my toil,
It's all done in the name of freedom, not for a barrel of oil.
