Keep On Laughing Poem by Ashleigh R. Gardner

Keep On Laughing

keep on laughing, that's what i used to say
before the torment of having you
and then never having you
now i'm ok, i feel released
and i don't care anymore
because what i had is gone
and i can breathe now
i can sit and think
and it won't be about you
i can smile and cry
and it won't be about you
i'm finally free
it feels good to say no
no to the thought of you
and not to get excited by seeing you
i'm normal, finally normal
no more hating them
no more hating you
i'm indifferent about it all
i'll find another, ten tmes better
and i'll be happy, and proud
and i won't be let down
and i won't get hurt
and i won't think of you
i won't wake up next to you
i won't kiss you, i won't hug you
i won't love you
and i'm happy about it
i will look at you as if i just noticed you
and we'll be friends and nothing more
so, keep on laughing
