Keep Me Safe Poem by jennie o'brien

Keep Me Safe

Rating: 4.5

I sit, I wait I stare.
I wish I could be there.
I am so lonely, here right now,
But only you know how,
To fix it, wipe the tears away.
Like an angel you know what to say.
You wrap me up in big strong arms
And keep me away from wordly harms.
I like it when your close and near -
To hold me tight, dismiss my fear.
My fear of being left alone,
Left to sit and whine and moan,
To die on my own in an empty room.
And go out of this world, so full of gloom.

Being alone is a fear I think many of us share. (probably what inspires many of us to write) You are a wonderful writer. Sincerely, mary
