Justification Poem by Sans Serif

Justification

Would you lie to me,
To save me?
If I asked you to?
If you were dying?
'O what a horrible thing to ask!
Of course not!
You are too much
As me just as I am
You.'
...but should you have to?
'No! It should never have to
Be done. I'm sorry, or maybe,
I'm not sorry.'
Why so?
'A lie should never
Have a justifiable
Reason.'
But what if it were
To fool a murderer?
'Deception and lying, hmm,
Good rebutle but that is in
A different situation.
Allow me to rephrase.,
A lie should never be
Justified between
Two good people.'
But what if I
Told you I've played
You a fool.
'I've known you for
A while now and...'
NO! The me you knew...
Who everyone knew...
Was all a facade...
A lie.
No, I'll repeat the question.
Would you lie to me
To save me?
'I...I don't know.
If you want me to...
I will... I'll lie-'
No! Of your own free
Will, knowing all we
Have discussed,
Would you lie to me
To save me?
Be straight, Yes or No?
'.......No...'
