Two Mothers Poem by Sans Serif

Two Mothers

Rating: 5.0

One gave me life
The other helped me live it.
One saw me cry
The other would never forget it.
One saw my first step
The other saw it grow.
One disappeared from my life
The other I now know.
One saw My first tearThe other wiped it away.
One heard my first coo
The other heard me say.
I love them both
To eternal ends.
One is just a picture
The other, my best friend.
Blood saves a life.
As does a kidney.
But if you Want to really help,
Show a child love and you will see
That you don't keed to perfect
Or even a saint,
You just need to be there

The topic here, is very close to heart Matthew, due to me adopting my first son, from my younger sister! He had two mothers and we both messed him up, unknowingly...Your poem gives me back something that was taken away. A good poem, needs a little edit, but I admire your honesty and courage in exposing these deepest inner feelings on the subject, so close to your heart. Smiling at you Tai
