Just To Talk With A Friend Now

Just to talk with a friend now
Without complications or difficulties
Simply to talk
And be with someone now
For however calm
And even happy now
I am
There is a sadness
At being alone-

And just to talk and smile
And perhaps even sometimes- laugh
With a friend
Would make it
Less lonely and less selfish now.
