Jungle Poem by Sana Olivia Hernandez

Jungle

Filled with predators,
That is still our world today.
Only it is gray.

Very nice. It's sharp, as sharp as a samurai sword, cutting to the quick. Not nature's jungles which are innocent in animals' pursuit of survival but the urban jungle where the predator is human and the prey is human. The haiku gets point across in a split second, but in prose you have to spell it out and weaken the impact.
