I see no one else,
Just you.
And now I don't know what I'll do.
There is nobody for me, but you.
I've looked down the road,
And have seen very far.
I've carried a heavy load,
With you in my heart.
Never-the-less,
Though it may be torment.
I'll make our love progress.
Yes.
It may be my death,
But I'd much rather rest,
With a full, warm heart.
Than one ripped and grotesque.
That would tear me apart…
Yes.
There are many other,
Fish in this sea.
But only the sunken treasure that is you,
Will satisfy me.
I see no one else,
And that is just fine.
If I could not see you…
I may as well be blind.

I really like the light-hearted, almost jocular tone of this poem of love's confession. The way you play with seeing or not seeing the beloved is remarkable. That flat statement I might as well be blind if I can't see you shows how much you have staked on this love but it doesn't overwhelm the poem. It brings closure to the poem which began with the sheer uplift to your spirits of seeing your beloved even at a distance. I don't write many love poems as you know, but I surely enjoy reading them. And this one takes me outside of myself with the all conquering spirit of l-o-v-e!

MM is a very lucky man to have a wonderful lady like you so dedicated to him. I bet he's just as dedicated to you. These types of feelings you express speak of a bond much deeper than most people will ever know. Beautiful piece,
