Juliets Last Dance

An evening enchanted, waiting for her Prince
Waiting for Romeo, her heart never relents.
Taken over by passion, living the edge,
She would die for her lover, with her arms outstretched.

Juliet's last dance, her last chance for real romance,
Juliet's last dance, her last chance for love, to glance.
Juliet's last dance, her dreams answered, her life renewed,
Juliet's last dance, before the end of a long lifetime feud.

Alone and waiting, wishing and hoping for a peaceful end
Thoughts of love, hugs, and kisses she silently sends.
Romeo, Romeo where for art thought Romeo,
She visions his presence but it's only a cameo.

Juliet's last dance, her last chance for real romance,
Juliet's last dance, her last chance for love, to glance.
Juliet's last dance, her dreams answered, her life renewed,
Juliet's last dance, before the end of a long lifetime feud.

The sound of music weaves through the air,
And Juliet dances, arms out, as if Romeo was there
She dances the last dance as if she had no care,
With a heart so heavy, as if there was a burden to bare.

Juliet's last dance, her last chance for real romance,
Juliet's last dance, her last chance for love, to glance.
Juliet's last dance, her dreams answered, her life renewed,
Juliet's last dance, before the end of a long lifetime feud.

And she new in the Midst of the Dance so fine,
That Romeo had met the end of his time.
He had died thinking that she too had met her end,
And so out of love he committed the mortal sin.

Juliet danced her last dance, she floated and she twirled,
Juliet knew so Cleary now, that she had to leave this world.
She danced her last dance, smiled her last smile and laid herself down,
And in the garden, lying beautiful and full of grace, Juliet was found.

Juliet's last dance, her last chance for real romance,
Juliet's last dance, her last chance for love, to glance.
Juliet's last dance, her dreams answered, her life renewed,
Juliet's last dance, before the end of a long lifetime feud.

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
