Journey Poem by Alex McCullough

Journey

The sky has grown so wide,
Since the day we first looked at it,
So let's gather up the memories we made,
And see where they carry us off to next.
There's no telling what awaits us,
Beyond the borders of this unfamiliar horizon,
But weather it is big or small,
Let's face it with everything we've got.
Sorrow was once the only thing that existed in us,
Always pouring like an endless rain,
So let's take the tears from back then,
And scatter them across the world before us!
It's been a while since back then,
When we held everything with a regret,
Like a shadow disappears into the darkness,
Let's do the same with our former selfs!
We have to keep on moving forward,
Until we reach that place we're searching for,
It may take a while,
But as long as I'm with you guys,
I know we'll reach it someday,
A place we can call home.
