Jhumar Gaan
Rustic song
Full of rusticana andaz
At the rustic beat
Of drums and conventional music,
Song and dance.
With the bagpipe
The folk will dance,
Sing and play,
The song too as such
That it will.
The artistes too
In plain, awkward
Or country clothes
Singing, dancing
And playing openly.
The jhumurs
Making hearers thrill,
With the pastoral speech
So sentimental and emotional.
