Jezebel Poem by Reginald Ruwende

Jezebel

Waky! Waky!
To a not so wacky frankincense
Penning still from a cesspit of pain
How my hunk I dragged in sweeping rain

Case a case of a curse
A lash harsh from a lass
A lash harsh hence a hash
Aside swept as Destiny beheld
By a muse mugged of mine portion withheld

Wherewith peereth thee?
Through and through my cuticles of celestial lore
Wherewith shattereth thee?
Cherub shunting me to mezzanines of own utopia
Howbeit entreaties prodding justice deferred
Ricochet off thy girdle elasticized

Maggoty exuding still since the time of Naboth,
Reeking GLORY she heard my purrs
Zeroed in aboard an opaque cloud eclipsing my miniature star
Sworn archangel of doom,
Intermittent bolts, a boom

A tot of innocence
Thence a prodigy of excellence
Mugged in ignorance
Hence hapless in senescence

I know you know I know
You know I know you know
Well,
Let this catharsis plunge you further into the know

In good faith,
Seeking neither mine nor yourn recompense
In the know you ain't JEZEBEL but a Jezebel incarnate
We can inter the hatchet
