It's Too Late Poem by Juan Olivarez

It's Too Late

Rating: 5.0

It's too late, life passed us by,
Somewhere we missed a turn.
now is not the time to cry,
That is a truth, that we must learn.

Destiny and fate, both took a hand,
And we were not to be.
minor players in a scheme so grand,
happens it was you and me.

you have your life, and I have mine,
Things are better left this way.
just look forward and not behind,
There's nothing left to say.

Agree very much with Eric's comment. Often the new turn gives us still a wider horizon Always the cruel turn makes us somehow stronger

sometimes the turn in the road seems cruel, but the road has a way of turning again!

Sometimes things just aren't meant to be - short and succinct write, and to the point. Excellent.
