It's The Meaning Of Life Poem by Silver C. Day

It's The Meaning Of Life

It’s the dreams we have
And the way we walk
It’s the wishes ungranted
And the sound of talk
It’s the foundness of others
And the footprints we leave
It’s the times we hurt
And the lies we weave
It’s the poems we write
And the cuts we make
It’s the places we travel to
And the breaths we take
It’s the secrets we keep
And the lessons we learn
It’s the part’s we play
And the things we yearn
It’s the unknown feelings
And the times we fall
It's the whispers in dark
And the times we call
It’s the mistakes we’ve all made
And the tolerance of strife
It’s what we all question
It’s the meaning of life.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Hi Silver - I am honoured to be the first to comment on this elegant poem. It has excellent structure - rhyme and rhythm - I love it. The final line should be the title 'It's the meaning of life'. Life consists of all the things you highlight - Dreams - wishes - footprints - lies - poems - places - secrets - unknown - whispers - mistakes and tolerance. We all ask questions - we don't always get the answer we want or even expect. Life can be a drag and in the end it's the DREAMS and the WISHES and the POETRY that get us through the day. You say in your blurb that you have come through bad patches and life is better now - believe me when I say (and I am a few years older than you) if you have the power of positive thinking - and learn by your experience - life gets better and better as you grow older. This is especially true in Canada - the Country of Opportunity. thanks for sharing. Love through Poetry - JOHN
