Is It A U-Turn Poem by Mark Heathcote

Is it a U-turn to go back and forth and forgive?
How does it work -this going full circle?
Will it meet with the winner's enclosure?
There's always a cul-de-sac of emotions.
Asking: Is it better to be at the rear or a frontrunner
And tail off… find your strength and intensity
At some point, overall, gradually-diminished
At times loves an open stable door left jarred,
And once the horse has long bolted
It might not be in anybody's best interest
To do as Hansel and Gretel did.
Sometimes, it is better not to link up all the dots.
Just remember how a Lipizzaner horse dances and trots.
