Intimate Rendevous Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Intimate Rendevous

Majestic, mysterious and made for an intimate rendezvous with
musical rhythms, touching our nature and spirituality, holding
out future destinies close together.

Solemn, watching as we gather closely in the throes of death
and dying, celebrating the lives of those who pass on with
tears in our eyes and sorrow tugging at our hearts.

At a loss for a while, sadness taking us into depths that we
have never known the likes of before, interiorly walking alone, solitary entities with no direction.

Abandoned and empty by the lives we've known for years and
now they're gone, tremendous amounts of grief holding us
captives with all the sorrow in our hearts.

Wanting the heartache and pain to stop, but it doesn't,
through time it may ease when we're busy and not thinking
of our loved ones, but not for long.

Feelings never do die, their sparks and embers flare up
into blazing fires when we return to remember our loved
ones through passages of time and tunnels of memories.
