Interplay - Red & Yellow Poem by ARPITA BHAGAT

Interplay - Red & Yellow

Rating: 2.0

Empty night
A Lonely sight
So far wide
Hollow sky
A dream
Distinct and vacuous
Lingers on
Under
Bright red fireflies
And
Yellow moonlight
Across somnolent chimes
A glazing street-light
Yearning for an ear
With
Bubbling stories
Of mundane affairs
Or special stares
Of midnight scares
And daylight whispers
Calling out unknown names
Of unheard faces
Wishful mutterings
And painful cries
Deep and divine
Hazy blindness
Winds of change
Over-cast shadow
An ephemeral blow
Forward
Into bright sunshine
And wistful yawns
Gleeful birds
Coffee thrusts
Monotonous affairs
A few despairs
Till
Curtain’s lifted
Again the
Drama unfolds
Yet another
Night falls
And
The circle rolls
