'Dramatics Of Thee' Poem by ARPITA BHAGAT

'Dramatics Of Thee'

Rating: 2.1

One of those unheard stories
Echoed under the walls of his alcove
Reverberations of lost childhood
Of dreams and pleasures
A mesmerized doodle eyed fellow
Somewhere amidst the withering leaves
In the fall shall he sense?
Hoping against all hopes
Take a ride back in time
Into the islands of innocence
We’ll wallow till blind
Sing a few lullabies for thee
Tickle that deprived skin
A few touches of affection
Run away i shall catch you someday
And let you go once again
Till I see you no more one day
Your mischievousness my sole consolation
And your joy my only respite
Possessed by the hunger for quest
Beneath resplendent skies
Wearing opaque glasses
Chafed soul, still gleaming desires
Embracing the world
That shall never see
The black hole to dip in
Don’t poor darling, search beyond
It’s time to look within you
Untouched and limp
Seek not shoulder but peace
Dramatics of thee
A thousand lovers even though you reap
A bohemian my dear
You not know you are
Your analgesic isn’t being picturesque
Isn’t ringing the wind chimes in vacuum
Or reflecting in the desert mirage
For my sake, seek the answers
Spare a few smiles and I rest in peace
