Internal Happiness Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Internal Happiness

Internal happiness

Yes, memories are sweet
And meet
Our internal happiness
When we are in isolation chase

No amount of treasure works
No soothes is felt from sweet words
Only one corner of the room
Reminds of past blossom

Parents were nice
So were their promises
With firm commitment
And I enjoy today beautiful present

No, something is missed
Even though I have gained access
With many things of trade
My memory still fades

I feel lonely and unhappy
Material happiness has bored me already
I find no charm with piling up of wealth
What shall happen to it after death?

"Nothing unusual" mind retorts
Why worry of such sort?
Reason out some other option
Go in for strong human relation

Get some feedback and offer
Without putting efforts to alter
But helping some of the measures
That shall enhance their future

Live is such nice experience
With tough or mild stance
Get off the hook with human touch
Enjoy the remaining period to teach something to children
