Instinctive Peace Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Instinctive Peace

Looking within this being, finding that there's
a lot of tumult, yet an instinctive peace is
always present no matter what's going on in life.

Keeping it together in an environment of musical
rhythms, entertaining mind and intellect, grasp-
ing at straws sometimes.

Barely holding it together when tears well up for
seconds at a time, quickly brushing them away be-
fore they're seen, not wanting anyone to see the
anguish being held inside.
