Home should be made a place of love
A stable shelter from all storms of life
Within the walls of a happy home, I avow
There shall be no room for stress or strife
It is not merely a roof above our head
But a haven where all dissensions disappear
Where each one is bound by love's thread
And the river of life runs smooth and clear
A place to turn to when heavy with care
The love received there is balm to every scar
After the day's toil an abode to happily retire
A simple dwelling with not even a palace on par
A stable shelter from all storms of life...that protect us from all storms.............very true said....enjoyed reading

Home a safe shelter from all storms of life.........Valsa.......wonderful piece
It is really a brilliant poem on home having haunting expression and nice collocation. The essence of the poem is so nice too. What should be the home is well drafted in this poem. I cite... Home should be made a place of love A stable shelter from all storms of life Within the walls of a happy home, I avow There shall be no room for stress or strife Thanks for sharig.10
Yes, Valsa. Home is this and so much more. And how blessed it is for one to have such a wonderful dwelling. Beautiful, thanks.
You know I can't say for certain but I feel like I am starting to understand the difference between how you view my poems and how I write them and where I write them from. After reading this poem I see that you have beautiful view of life and everything it offers, this poem is a reflection of either the home you know or how you envision how a home should be. I agree with this as well. Though I think because I am more of a wanderer I consider my home to be my body and wherever I rest my head is home. I've not known these loving, warm environments you speak of though I don't envy them either I am happy for all that can experience the homes you write about in this poem. Though at the same time I think everyone should have to experience certain pains because that is in fact how people relate, we connect through pain and joy as well. BUT for those that only really experience all good things and never really have to deal with pain they can never quite understand or comprehend what it means for someone who has experienced such pains. To them it's like watching a movie and just not getting it. Doesn't mean the movie can't move them in some way but they just can't quite grasp what it all means. I myself come from a very broken home full of one pain filled destructive tragedy after another and though I've learned how to be happy with myself and how to find peace within the chaos I still have not known this home you speak of. So the world I've known is what I create in my poetry probably why you have a hard time embracing some of my pieces not that you can appreciate them but I am not sure if you have quite experienced the sort of life I have which would make it rather difficult for you to really appreciate what it is I am saying in what I write. That's not a bad thing btw because I love your poetry and find it refreshing especially in contrast with my own. I just think I've come to a better understanding now after reading this poem which helps me to appreciate your comments even more because it shows you try to understand and that moves me.
Roam all the world and enjoy the outing. It feels a heaven when one is back at home - home, sweet home. Beautiful poem. Thank you.
