Inside my heart
I hold you dear
for when I'm lonely
and you're not near
inside my heart
I hold so tight
this love
your love
that gets me through the night
inside my heart
I hold you close
this love
our love
no one knows
and when I wake I see your eyes
I see your love for me
behind those lies
don't hold back
you get one shot
Do you really love me
or love me not

2 – Lyn calls you a romantic (see her comment) . Which kind are you? ? " (A) ROMANTIC - noun 1 – (an/a) idealist, sentimentalist, romanticist; dreamer, visionary, or fantasizer”? OR 2 – “a writer or artist of the romantic movement" ? OR both? ! bri :)
Thank you for the definiti\ons of romantic. Lyn's comments is an opinion, The Tigress in the Lion and Tigress series is a romantic. She is both definitions.
1 – Topics: love & dreams It ain’t about heart valves? ? if only " hearts" were THAT simple! ! but you see love behind lies? ? ? ! ! ! i lied to a woman once because i DID love her and didn't want to hurt her,
There are many poetic chambers in the heart, romance and love, the last 7 lines are priceless! ! A wonderful poem! !
Hello and thank you for your comment, I've had a dry spell in writing about love but Jez's poem really inspired me on this one. I'm glad you liked it! :)
Oh Lyn thank you for visiting and for your really nice comment. I was feeling very romantic when I wrote it. Hope you are doing well.
I really like the lines, don't hold back you get one shot Do you really love me or love me not Words so good at saying not to play games with the heart. Also, I have just reread 'Love Me, Love Me Not', and both poems are so complementary to each other.
That makes two of us. You always point out my favorite lines too. When writing a poet always likes a particular piece int he poem and hopes his readers recognize it as well. You've done just that. Thank you for reading and so happy you liked this one.
