Innocent; For The Mean Time Poem by DOMINIC PREMPEH

Innocent; For The Mean Time

This man insults the other for corrupt practices
Yelling that the accused should be castrated or crucified
Or at least incarcerated for life; if the former will not hold

Our lives are intertwined; in some ways, I bet you
We meet at different junctions at different eras along th way
And some of our meeting points are sinful; truth be told

We are all human pheasants; not even one
Our long untamed tails bring us problems, we know
But we sit here and persecute a brother like saints

Ours have not come does not make us saints
Or put us ahead of the angels of heaven, no!
We are all innocent; for the mean time!
