In The Dentist's Waiting Room Poem by Shalom Freedman

In The Dentist's Waiting Room

IN THE DENTIST'S WAITING ROOM

I wait and no one knows
Who I am
I write against my fear-

For how many years
And through how much time
Have these fears
And these anxieties
Been diminished
By a few lines
Whose value
May be only in this?
