In My Universe Poem by Kevin Patrick

In My Universe

Rating: 5.0

In my universe, there is no one to harm me;
Just homeless moons of thought roving inside nebulas
That encompasses light-years of vacuumed illumination
Inhabiting the spectrum in teal and indigo seas

Now mental realms form in the Big bangs ascension;
Creative sparks of hydrogen flash for just a second
Igniting the conscious self of new inner dimensions

Soon I can hop on the electromagnetic waves
Defy your currents, and keep this gravity swayed

Within this cloak of constellations, remains my domain...

Surrounded in peace…
Engulfed in space… Whole, yet all Alone....

For no earthly fears bound my celestial orbs

Just the bliss of existence to keep me absorbed
Aligned to hemispheres for new worlds to explore

Here, I can feel the breeze of solar winds and photons
The bursts of supernovas and dwindling brown dwarfs
Sketching me across the veil of single naked neutrons

Then Black Holes coalesce consuming my mind's eye
Leaving nothing but crumbs of anti-matter now
And I reverberate in the void, slave to my laws.
In my universe, there's know one to hear me die

I liked being taken on a journey through the universe- thank you for the guided tour- but now I must return and cook dinner and mop the kitchen floor.... but I will be thinking of the stars birthing somewhere beyond my sight. 10

I have been taken to a journey into a cosmic dimension... your words propelled me into the depths and heights of a magnificent inner ride...I am still floating...An amazing poem!
