Impurities Poem by Megan Lee

Impurities

My nose, my hips, my ears, my eyes
My feet, my cheeks, my hair, my thighs
My everything isn't how I wish it was
But somewhere down the life line
I realize that I'm perfect in my own way
And I shouldn't care what other people have to say
I know some people may not agree
But what they gotta say don't matter to me
My brows, my lips, my toes, my arms
But hey, those things don't really matter in the long run
My heart, my mind, my soul, my love
My thoughts, my actions, my God above
Physical impurities are fine with me
I'll love you anyway if you love me
But if you're gorgeous and really mean
Get outta my way, boy, 'cause you're crazy
Your heart, your mind, your sense of humor
Your soul, your actions, your love, and remember
Your nose, your ears, those things don't matter
If your heart, mind, and soul are pure
And you are happy just the way you are
Then I'll be more than happy to let you take my heart
