Impetuous Impulses Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Impetuous Impulses

Impetuous are such impulses.
Thoughtlessly taken at neck breaking speed.
Is not only irresponsible.
But also a mindless condoning activity.
Allowed to then be witnessed,
By those who have lost control.
With a giving up their authority,
To one who shows...
No attempt to follow strict rules to obey.
Doing what they wish to please,
Done to do.
Daring anyone who may recommend another way.
And...
Whomever it was to permit this childishness,
To grow into an adult like this.
Destroying everything they touch.
Just for 'kicks' and attention to get.
Should be the ones to have,
A belt or a 'switch' taken to their butts.
For turning their heads,
On one they unconsiously...
Instructed to destroy and destruct.
Without it to know the difference,
If what they do is down or up.
Or could care less,
As to who or whose lives are affected.
