Impatient, Yet Waiting Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Impatient, Yet Waiting

Looking out a window at my doctor's office, being
downtown in Phoenix.

Skyscrapers, trees and cacti everywhere, morning
desert breezes blowing nature around.

Watching leaves and limbs moving and swaying before
me, dancing freely in the atmosphere.

Sun shining hotly, even at this hour in the morning,
waiting for a taxi to pick me up and take me home.

Impatiently waiting to get out of here now that I
am done.
