Imagine A World Without Flowers (Ft Christopher Tye)
The sun arise from its mystery hide
Again morning light awakes the day from asleep
No more nightmare of past to runaway
But to visit those smile from you
Like the blossom flowers
I would do for the whole day
You are my favourite flower in the garden
As if your the one on those green
Perhaps you don't know
How much it meant to me
Maybe you couldn't see
How much it perfect to me
So just imagine a world without flowers,
No scent carried on the night air,
No bumble bees flying erratically,
Humming birds gone the way of the dodo.
English cottage gardens left only in pictures,
Olde English violet and lavender no more,
Hollyhocks and lupins conspicuous by their absence,
No more summer evenings enjoying the pastel palette.
Imagine history without the rose,
Shakespeare's work something else sans,
The war of the roses wouldn't sound the same,
Turkish delight not so delightfully tasty.
A world so much poorer just for one thing,
Flowers give us so much in so many areas,
Even comedy would be poorer if you think about it,
Dame Edna without her gladioli just wouldn't be the same.

Without flowers (the literal, the metaphoric) , so much of life would be just a mirage, a knock-off, a chore, a drudge, a mere image of the real thing. This verse goes straight to myfavourites!

I just scrolled through your list of poems looking for one I hadn't read yet and I noticed that there is a variety of topics that you write upon... that is a welcome influx of fresh air. There are so many writers on this site and it could be hard to stand apart- -but I don't see that being a problem for you. You write this: I could Imagine this world without flower I just couldn't imagine Me without you. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Your friends could very well write this about you. And the niftiest thing would be that you're not just one brand of flower, you're a lot of flowers from sunflower to moon-flower, from pansy to rose. And it is very intriguing that this is a collaboration!
You are so nice to me all the time and always treat my ordinary work as something better. I agree that only some people are hard to stand apart but mostly are amazing especially back to 4-5 years back..this place has many great person but now they all gone for something i couldnt say, i also have in my mind to fly away but i think i should be here who knows some of them will return back and we will reunite, plus i dont write and post my poem except here...This work actually started when my friend Chris Tye started with a theme of flower, so we were decided to combine work into something but then we shared the fusion style and view. It is not a easy process because of time, personal things he may have and things happened, i just want to use this to embrace my good friends because one day everybody will go but this place will keep our memories alive, so i co write with few of them that wanted to do that..Christopher Tye is a friend that is very nice and loyal, he having problem in life but i think he is wonderful person that capable to write and blend with people so nicely like he doesnt face any challenges at all, thats inspire a lot...so i just want him to know that he is a talented guy and we decided this to come out..thats is why this collaboration is here... So i credit this work to him as he provided a base for this poem. Thank you Susan, as you know i also get inspired by you also when i first time read you...the poem 21 April and so on that move me a lot! be strong! be happy always
