'Ignorance Is Bliss' Poem by TaBresha Bozeman

'Ignorance Is Bliss'

No one knows the meaning
of the saying written above
You'd rather here lies than truth
When push comes to shove

You'd rather here what you think is right
Spreading your hopes vastly
Which makes you very disappointed
Because the news is ghastly

And from the looks of things
Your very unforgiving
I'm a failure in yours eyes
Because I couldn't reach your expectations of living

So today I understand the meaning
'Ignorance is bliss'
I'm sorry I'm such a disappointment
And didn't make your list
