If You Could Dress Like The Flowers Poem by Juan Olivarez

If You Could Dress Like The Flowers

Rating: 5.0

If you could dress like the flowers,
You surely would look like royalty.
Out in the wild,
Or on a window sill,
Or anywhere,
Brightening up the world.
Where do flowers shop for their clothes,
At Macy's, In Beverly Hills, surely not at Wal-mart.
Do they pay cash, use their debit cards, or do they charge it.
What magnificent attire they do sport.
Nobody but nobody dresses like them.
Not movie stars, or even those has been Kardashians.
No designer has ever been born,
That can create their look.
Elsa Schiaparelli, Christian Dior, Roy Halston Frowick, Calvin Klein,
Paupers, imitators, fakes, frauds, great charlatans.
Not worthy to be mentioned in the same breath,
As the creator of the raiment of the flowers.
They have no money,
Yet they are rich.
They don't care about being noticed,
Yet that is an impossibility.
They have no egos,
All they do, is brighten our lives.

It's the power of the thought within and behind these words that make it so good. Very well done.
