If It Was You Poem by Randy McClave

If It Was You

If you committed the crime
You alone must do the time,
If you ever break the law
You alone should be the one to fall.
If you constantly tell lies
Then Hell should be your prize,
And if you uncaringly rob or steal
Your conscience should never heal.
If you don't help the poor and the needy
God indeed will know that you are greedy,
If you don't pay your debts
Your life should be full or pain and regrets.
If you don't pay what you owe
Your soul will then be in tow,
You can then be easily used and bought
With silver that you have sought.
If you spread false gossip and rumors
You're spreading pain like tumors,
And If falsely accuse and falsely judge
Remember this, God will hold a grudge.
If you say that you're a true Christian
But, instead you're on the Devil's mission,
When you spread lies, subversion and hate
You deserve your own fate.
If you are lewd and corrupt and immoral
With the righteous you shouldn't judge or quarrel,
You should then immediately go to jail
Then in your afterlife, you should be sent to hell.
