If it is time to begin the day with a poem
And to hope all the day will somehow be blessed
And not to be lost in the fear
For those one loves
And for one's own inner collapse
If it is time to pray to God
With all one's soul
For the help which will make hope real
And not to simply lose one's mind in decline
If it is time
To begin the day with a prayer
And why oh why know why
