Ice Poem by Pacific Hernandez

Ice

Sundae, popsies, ice cream, parfait
Mousse, caramel, yoghurt, sherbet
Frozen delights in a chest of ice
Brings joy and smile to a crying child

So happily the children skate
Above the ice on a frozen lake
Through a little hole patiently hangs
A baited hook on a sinkered line
The children laugh, the children shout
As down below, the fishes bite

In both the poles are caps of ice
We don’t care for and think about
We warm the globe, the ices thaw
And to the oceans water flows
The sea rises, float the vapors
The clouds are formed, as rains then fall
The rivers flow but nowhere to
And back inland as flood they go
