I wrote a song about yesterday and tomorrow
I wrote about intense pain and loss
I wrote about being double crossed
I wrote about my dreary life
I wrote about death and strife
I wrote about a mourning of a friend
I wrote about a farewell and an end
I wrote about agony and tears
I wrote about long lonely years
I wrote about a broken heart
I wrote about a missing part
I wrote about an unanswered prayer
I wrote about my enemy and slayer
I wrote about the cold empty place
I wrote about a narrow closed space
I wrote about a dying pink flower
I wrote about my time and hour
I wrote and wrote and wrote
And in the end i left a note
It said goodbye to a love
May God watch you from above
I await for you in this empty hole
With a broken heart and a dying soul
