I Wish
I wish with all my heart
my soul, my very being.
That I could take your pain away.
I wish I could hold you in my arms
like I did when you were just a little girl.
Now you are grown and have more than
your share of pain.
Demons that only you can see
Nightmares that also come in day.
I wish I could take your pain away.
~Sigh~ More so I wish i could lay in your arms and just cry myself to sleep..

We feel so helpless when we cannot take away the pain of those we love, especially our children. Lovely words.
