I Watched It Die Poem by Autumn Winds

I Watched It Die

These eyes that should cry
Now remain forever dry
I saw it in your eyes
As I watched it die
Upon the stars at hand
A million wishes on the sand
I saw it in your eyes
As I watched it die
Reliant on childish fantasies
But forever remaining fantasies
Wonder and amasment
I saw it in your eyes
As I watched it die
It faded unused
An artist's broken muse
With no more questions
Thinking this is perfection
Curiosity and thought
I saw it in your eyes
As I watched it die

Autumn I love this poem! I wrote one that was simalir to yours 3 years ago the title is As I Watched You Die. I wrote it in Dec of 09 after I held my dad for several hours while he passed! Your poem really hit home when I read it! Would like to talk to you if you want to send me a message back
