We're just a drop in ocean
Or dust in the wind
A wish on a star
Or a dream thats long dead
We're just clouds in the sky
Or the key that's gone missing
We're the air passing by
A moment before our eyes
We're the tears that role down
Or the note you still sing
The light from the stars
Or the dark that's reaching
The smoke from the fire
And the long memories

We're just a drop in the ocean
A bird with no wings
Or the light of the moon
And the pictures you see
A fish in the water
Or the air that you breathe
A moment in time
Or the sun that's sinking
We're the flowers around you
And the graves everywhere
The letters on the table
And the ruins left there
But we'll always be drops in the ocean
As numerous as the stars
A kiss on the lips
With a dream that's not ours
A train on the tracks
Or a sky that's gone grey
But to me
You always be a heart still beating
