I Was Lost Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Was Lost

I Swooned Over You

I like you and I do so.
You're the gentlest man I know.
Your ways are simple and genteel.
No one comes closer than you.

I once was lost you see
Between the deserts and the sea.
I was left from left to right
From fear and fright.

I didn't know how to live life.
I gave me much strife.
To be alone so long
Was not by version of a good song.

But you did come along one day.
I had nothing to say.
I just was in a shock
That you came my way.
