I Want Your Care Poem by Randy McClave

I Want Your Care

I don't want your tears when I die
I'm your parent, I don't want you to cry,
Remember life is destined and short
Then we will all be judged in God's court.
And while I am still living
There is things I want you to be giving,
But, it is not of sadness or of tears
To be be given in days, weeks, months or years.
I want your hugs and your love and your laughter
Always for today and also for the day after,
For that I will always strive
Remember, I want your care while still alive.
