I Want You To Know Poem by Randy McClave

I Want You To Know

Though this you never knew
I said a prayer for you,
Though with you I am no longer there
For you I still said a prayer.
I still pray for you every night
While hoping you will see the light,
Even though you did me wrong
I still want you to be strong.
I want you to find love and peace
And I hope your pain and torment will cease,
God had purposely led me to your path
And it was not for pain or for wrath.
Though you might forget who I am
I still want you to find the lamb,
Though you might still think that I am your foe;
This, I wanted you to know.
