Another lonely night...
The trees and the clouds are one,
But sleep would not come to me,
And ease my worried self.
Love has escaped my grasp,
And left my soul so vexed!
i want to dream tonight,
But the visions would not come!
I count the empty hours...
nine, ten, eleven, midnight!
The clock strikes on
Till dawn turns the clouds alight!
the sun peeps out
The sky is clear
The world throbs on again!
While I, a dreamer,
Long for the night
To come once more
And bring me peace to dream!
