I Want To Be What I Can'T. Poem by Dani Kerr

I Want To Be What I Can'T.

I want to be a girl
That every guy in this world
Longs to be with

I want to be a girl
Who has the flawless look
Even without the makeup

I want to be a girl
Who he will notice
In a room of a thousand

I want to be a girl
Who is told she's pretty
Even if she doesn't believe it

I'm tired of being the girl
Who isn't considered skinny
or even beautiful

I'm tired of being the girl
who hides her feelings
And feels like there's no where to go

I'm tired of being a girl
who no one notices
in a room of one

I'm tired of being the girl
Who wants to hear a compliment from a guy
Even though she knows it's self absorbed

I long for the day when
I can feel loved by others
and my self.
