I Walk Away Poem by Mark Fahmy

I Walk Away

I walk away
I walk away out of the guilt
I walk away out of the shame
I walk away never again the same.

I walk away from you who caused me pain,
I walk away from the the plethora of feelings you used to feign.

I walk away, keep walking still
Your mumbling words never bring me back
I only gather the strength you helped me lack.

My path, a bit crumbled, I do not mind
for I get to see, no longer blind.

They think walking away is shame,
But trust me on this when I say:

'The day you walk away, is the one you finally get to find your way.'
