I Tell My Truth Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Tell My Truth

I tell my truth
None or very few hear
So does it matter?

Wouldn't it be better
To give a message
Of greater Hope?

Why do people need
The hard and difficult truth
From you?

Others can tell it better

People need Hope
They need a story
That can help them live

You do not have faith enough
Or Hope enough yourself

Perhaps you should
Go quietly to your grave
Leaving your little words of
Sadness, Pain and Failure
to yourself.
