I Thank God



I THANK GOD

I thank God.

Who and what am I to thank God?

God does not need my thanks.
Even my thanks are after all
From God to God.

God thanking God
Seems redundant.

Yet today my son was here
He has been away
He looks very well.
He is so kind to his father-
He is a kind person.

I need to thank God.
Thank God.
