I Salute Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Salute

Rating: 5.0

I did two unique things
Which was perfect and not lacking?
In any of the respect
As demanded by an act

We were pressed into attack
So much was at stake
The enemy was advancing
Slowly in defense piercing

First it was to secure front
Then was to make sure on right and left
They were to be caught in surprise
Our weaponry was fully comprised

With all preparedness
We swung into readiness
They were expecting no retaliation
We had full determination

They wanted to flee
But we did not allow them to be free
We inflicted heavy casualty
It was their last duty

On front we remain as friends
Visit each other and make nice mends
Converse and exchange about families
But never emit bitterness or hostilities

In war like situation
There is acrimony in continuation
Both armies stand at guard
Either survival or awaits graveyard

I salute to sacred motherland
It has to be always holy land
We are committed to preserve
Its sanctity and honestly serve

Heavy duty Rachael ChipleyLess than a minute ago You seem very dedicated to your land and cause. It's hard to say that land is more valuable than life though. Life is so precious!
