I Once Killed A Bird Poem by EC David

I Once Killed A Bird

Rating: 5.0

I apologize for the things I've done and I apologize for who I've become. I'm sorry my actions came as a surprise but deep down inside the feelings reside. I looked to the left and I saw a mirror. The image distorted so it's not very clear. I go to the dark so my mind stops to think. I stepped in the light and my eyes started to bleed. I fell through the crack at least one time or two but where am I now? I'm here without you. I have no one to blame but myself. The root of my issues is my mental health. I'll kiss the rain and I'll make it wet. There are things in this life I'll always regret. I once killed a bird for singing a song. I revived that same bird just so I could move on. I still try to dream even when Wide awake. I'll sleep through the day And just pulled Down the shades. I'll never say goodbye because that's not how I feel. My love is forever and forever is real.
